Blogmas Day 15: Renal Ward Stockings
Christmas in the hospital in my Christmas pudding onesie!
Christmas in hospital on the renal ward. Having Christmas dinner on the ward!
So each year since 2014 when I was ill and in hospital over Christmas, I have put together Christmas Stockings for the women’s kidney ward at my local hospital. Each year I buy 3 gifts for each stocking, I buy 6 stockings for the ward but I do wish I could do more!
I woke up on Christmas Day and Santa had even found me on the ward - he had delivered my presents to the hospital, giving me a bag of goodies. It cheered me up and I want those who don’t have family close by to have something little on Christmas Day to make their time in hospital a little better too!
These were the 2015 stockings from Poundland and the gifts!
Stockings from 2016, I included teacups, calendars and socks!
This year I have decided to pick reed diffusers-sugared almonds scent (which I love as it’s part of our traditional Christmas food) and some Christmas slippers that match the Christmas stockings blue and red! I need to pick one more thing for the 6 stockings!
I’ve just finished wrapping up this lot! So the stockings are now partially stuffed so we are nearly ready! I really like this year’s presents, they’re festive but cute too!
Anyway, I tweeted the hospital and I got a lovely response from them and I am so glad it’s part of my Christmas traditions!
Toodles my little Christmas stockingsXX
