Blogmas Day 10: Finally decorating our tree - Felicitree
So this year it has definitely taken me a lot longer to get round to decorating our tree! I know -shocking! Most of my friends were very shocked but tbh I have just been shattered and last year I had loads of time because I was recovering from my kidney transplant surgery! Crazy times!
Anyway I finally decided to decorate the tree but I had put about 3 glass baubles on our tree, went to reposition them and smashed two - - not sure how! I wanted to burst into tears as I bought them last year and I was totally gutted (not cheap). So I have come to the conclusion I’m not really a glass baubles kinda gal! With my shaky hands I don’t think it’s that wise (I never pick up glass baubles in a shop for fear of knocking over the whole stand - you will never see me in Harrods, can you imagine the pure carnage - we would have to sell the house to pay for everything!)
So plan B is to just decorate the tree with all my handmade decorations and I have to say it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I love it! I was planning to have them on the tree as well but with my glass baubles!
I’m not the only one today who smashed a bauble, hubby also smashed one which I had literally hung up today (crying face - lol!)
This is our tree and since this was taken I’ve added clues for the Advent calendar hunt! I’ve also added my little handmade Christmas mouse - thought she was too cute not to include!
I obviously opted for cosy over fashionable here (wearing boots after I smashed the baubles just in case!) Very stylish (not - I did want to wear my Christmas pudding onesie but it must be in the wash!)
Anyway tree is done and most disasters averted!
Toodles my festive pigs in blankets XX
