These are a few of my favourite things....

So I thought it would be fun to tell you all about my favourite things. This is kind of like a monthly favourite but I thought it would be easier if I did a whole life favourites.......(plus I'm not organised enough to do a monthly favourites - also trying not to spend loads too!) Things I love in my life and products I love that I can't live without. I have sooooo many that I love and I thought that it would be fun to share some of my weird obsessions and likes.

  1. Harry Potter - I mean derrrrr...... anything Harry Potter related, I have been soooooooooo obsessed since the books were released. I grew up with the Harry Potter books and then the film and the Studio. I would have bought everything HP related and decorated my house HP themed but not sure hubby would appreciate that as not really an HP fan (shakes head - shocking I know!!) The dream would be that I get onto a Fantastic Beasts film as an extra, as I never got on the HP films (sad face!) I am now trying to convince Hubby to go to Primark and buy everything HP related so I can wear it all when we go to HP studios in the snow in December. I liked HP even when it wasn't as cool to be an HP fan. I am desperate to go to Universal Studios in America - the dream!! My favourite character is probably Hermione (predictable I know but I like that she's smart and brave - a strong role model for young women.) I love the craftsmanship of all the props and sets and how it was all handmade. HP also got me through the most difficult part of my life, when my kidneys failed and I was on dialysis every other day 3 times a week, 4 hours at a time. I would watch the films while I was in hospital having treatment and it took me away from everything I was going through - a truly magical series.

  2. Disney- Yeh you guessed it.......anything Disney related. I loved all the films and I love the characters. I think Beauty and the Beast is my favourite followed by The Lion King. I went to Disney World when I was 17 and possibly Disneyland Paris (think I might have been when I was in foster care - a weird discovery when I recognised a boat I had been on - I had thought it was just a weird muddled memory....crazy!!) I can't wait to go back with hubby and any future children we have!! I love the Disney versions of the stories, not such a fan of the Grimm stories. I love the quotes from Disney films and all the memorabilia they do, again I would buy it all (thankfully Primark also has Disney stuff now too - yes!!) I want to build a not so secret stash of Disney stuff too for when we get over to Florida. I think my favourite thing was the Disney Christmas Shop on the main street and my dad pranking all the Americans in line for a ride and implying he thought he was going to throw up - haha classic Dadz!

  1. Christmas - Anything festive, I particularly love John Lewis's Christmas decorations - they are so stunning and so exquisite I would literally decorate my whole house with their decorations. I also love Liberty's decorations, Next's, Debenhams and obviously Homesense! Although I am not a Christmas snob, if I like a decoration whether it be from Matalan or Harrods I would buy it. I'm really not prejudiced against any Christmas brands. I'm obsessed with White Company's Winter candle and if I had money to literally burn I would get that beautiful 3 wicked Winter candle that's not in this month's budget. My favourite place to buy candles is Homesense because they have some unusual fragrances.

  2. Joules - This is a new one, in that I recently discovered that I loved this brand and literally wanted to buy the whole shop. I love the Tweed Collection, which is just lovely with some great pieces that I want to combine with my dresses. I particularly love the Tweed Wilomena Jacket which is just stunning and very country chic. I love their wellies, so many beautiful patterns and designs. I love the cosy Downton Wellies, perfect for my autumn walks (need to get these!)

  3. Homesense - literally LOVE this place, I just love that they do seasonal stuff sooooo well (house goals!) I also love the food pantry section which is soooo great for unusual ingredients. I'm obsessed with the furniture section....OK I'm obsessed with the whole place. It's my favourite place to go and get inspiration (cough cough......want to buy everything but can't fit it into our house!) But do I want to fill my house with all the Homesense decor and furniture eventually (more house goals!)

  1. Interior Design - I really really love interior design and I have always wanted to be a designer, I always come back to it as my dream job. I started a degree in interior design but came home for various reasons. Sooooooo I am seriously considering a qualification I can do through distance learning from the British Academy of Interior Design. It's a few grand but I think in the future it's a good investment and it will mean when we have a baby I may be able to work from home. I don't think I have ever given up but life has just made it a bit of a challenge. I would love to specialise in Christmas decor for shop displays etc. I have a subscription for Ideal Home magazine to get inspiration. I also have quite a few different Interior Design boards on Pinterest.

  1. Town & Country magazine - I recently changed my allegiance to this magazine but I LOVE it. It makes me feel very chic and stylish. I love the clothes and brands that are in this magazine, (#lifegoals) I enjoy reading this magazine and finding new designers and brands.

  2. Dunelm - I love this shop because they make more expensive items from other brands more affordable in the same style. It's great for someone like me who has a more limited budget but still wants that look. I think I will be getting some bits from the store soon so I can really get our house styled the way I want it, with dupes of more expensive brands.

  3. The Range - great for all my crafting needs. It's great and I could spend a small fortune in here every time I go in. I get all my crafty bits from here especially at Christmas to create cute festive decorations but they also have a great homeware range too.

  1. Tea - all kinds of tea, my favourite right now is Twinnings Festive Tea - addicted right now.....yum!!

  2. Nespresso - Totally missing our old machine (broken-crying face!) I absolutely love it when we go to my in-laws because they have a machine and we always have a lovely little coffee with our breakfast in the kitchen or in the sun room.

  1. Lindy Bop and Collectif - my new found love of vintage style fashion. I absolutely love this brand and I want to fill my whole wardrobe with all of their lovely dresses. I love the boarder dresses and I just feel so glamorous when I'm wearing them. They are just soooooo beautiful.

  1. Makeup Revolution and MUA - love these makeup brands. I only use these makeup brands. I love them, eye pallets are my favourite but love it all.

  2. Waitrose and M&S - I absolutely love the food they both do and especially at Christmas. If I could I would always shop at them but at the moment we get a lot of their dine in meals (especially for special events.) I love both their festive ranges too.

  1. Primark - is amazing, I have bought most of my clothes from there over the years and I have had soooo many compliments. Some people even think the clothes are more high end brands. I love it, I'm like.....Yes, haha..........I paid an 1/8 of what you think I paid for it. They also have HP stuff and Disney so I mean do I need to say any more. Thank you Primark.

  1. Monoi, Yves Rocher and Ghost Midnight - These

are my favourite perfumes. Midnight is my evening and autumn/winter perfume and Monoi is my summer/spring perfume.

That's just a few of my favourite things that I enjoy. You may have thought who knew........!!
